Arrmaduke: what's this about?
Leon: I heard about what's been going on with you and the Hudigans, more specifically Negaduck.
Arrmaduke: yeah? What of it?
Leon: Why did you control his mind like you did?
Arrmaduke: because he's too crude and aggressive. I wanted to show him love and kindness and how to be a gentleman was I wrong doing?
Leon: No, not necessarily, but he did go overboard.

Leon: I understand what you were trying to do, but it got outta hand. I think you knowingly, or unknowingly triggered something within him.

Leon: He wants you out of the city, but I've decided to keep you in. He doesn't know that though.

Leon: There are a couple others... Well, no offense, you're new here, and things are quite different. It's gonna take a while for everyone, including yourself to understand the other.

Leon: I know that you were looking for love from the Hudigans and they turned you down. I am uncertain as to how you feel other than sadness. The truth of the matter is, sometimes the Hudigans don't even get along with each other. They aren't one of the most loving families, that's for sure.
Arrmaduke: then what shall I do? :'(
Leon: But, if it means anything at all, I am part of one that does love, that does care. When one family turns a blind eye the other will accept. And that's not even all of it.... Even though I've tried to keep the two families separated, Hudigans and Bushroots, we are for the most part related to each other.
Arrmaduke: I don't know
Leon: Listen, let me talk to the Hudigans. You remind of Daemon in a way. For a long time for him he searched for his family that left him so long ago... ...he finally found it and it took him a little while to break through to them. I am NOT going to let them turn their backs on you.

Leon: A few of them don't really know what loving family is like. I think that's the only problem. And I don't want a major disaster to happen in order for them to see.

In other words, they don't have that closeness that they deserve when they're young. And I regret that that has happened in the past. I think all in all, they are looking for the love that they missed, by going to others and feeling their love.

Leon: Okay Negs, here's the scoop.

Leon: You, as well as the other present Hudigans, didn't necessarily gain your "aggressive genes" from Arrmaduke. They were more from the Hudigan that Arrmaduke's second cousin married. Arrmaduke did have aggressive genes in himself, but......I don't think he had as many as that Hudigan from the past. In any case, for the most part, Arrmaduke will still be the nice person that he was when he was an emperor. It's twisted, but it makes sense. In that, no offense, for some reason, there is a unique quality to each Hudigan. "A nice warrior" is Arrmaduke's unique quality. Sorry about the long winded statement there.
Negs: so what are you saying?! I got this aggression from Arrmaduke's Second Cousin's husband??!!!!
Leon: Yeah, that sums it up. Arrmaduke can't help the way he is, and you can't help the way you are, it's all in the genes.

Negs: no. only that the first Hudigan was actually adopted to some extent and learned his adopted father's aggression and passed that onto his son by being as mean as his father
