Bartox- Pandora! I might be small, But I am well aged and I know what I am doing. let me take care of them so they ill no longer be a threat to us, my dear...*Pandora can see a shimmer in his eyes that hints to a bad deed he ants to commit...*
Pandora-Okay, I trust you, don't get hurt! Are you going to....kill them...?? *with concern in her eyes. Not that she would be devistated if he did, just that she's not used to people like that.*
Bartox- only if I have to darling... *He caresses her chekk then flies off to seek out those who hurt Pandora's feelings*
*Pandora waves to Bartox and hopes he has good luck. She decides to wait there for his return after getting even with the punks.*
*After a few hours Bartox returns, rather happy...this disconcerns Pandora*
Pandora-So I take it...went well? *still uneasy about Bartox's smile.*
Bartox- yes very ewll thank you. *He hugs his tall girlfriend, in comparison to his height*
*Pandora happily hugs Bartox, immediately forgetting the situation and just concentrating on her short companion.*
Pandora-C'mon, let's go home, I think we've overstayed our "welcome."
*She takes Bartox's hand*
Bartox- alright cutie,
*They head home*
Pandora-No, YOU'RE the cute one ;) *She says after they get in the door. Pandora gives him that look, a look of passion, love and desire, need I say more ;)*
Bartox- would you let me? seriously? Because if you do, then e can never go back on it...
Pandora-I would let you mate with me, but will you allow yourself to? Really, I don't mind, I know it's a serious subject, and can't be undone after it's done, but I love you and I trust you. What we are changes nothing, all that matters is love, and that love I share with you. It's okay, I accept. *as she puts her hand on his cheek and rubs it with the back of her hand.*
Bartox- alright, Pandora. That's all I needed to kno. *He kisses her and they head to bed*
*Bartox and Pandora have their fun, and are there lying in bed afterwards.*
Pandora-Wow...oh Bartox, I love you...I'm not being smug about this but it's nice to experience first hand what people write about in books, and it's true, about the love thing that is ;)
*Bartox is sound asleep, snoring, laying on his stomach. one grey and black wing is hanging off the bed while the other lays across Pandora's torso. She notices that the one laying on her twitches as he sleeps and his claw nearly grazes her chin, let alone her chest*
*Pandora gets a little skittish after a close call with Bartox's claw. She moves closer to the edge of the bed, making sure she doesn't get cut, or anything else for that matter.*
*Suddenly Bartox folds his wings tight and hides his cloven hands under his small, muscular torso; so neatly compact for a little person*
*Pandora is relieved to see Bartox's hands hidden, so to speak. She gets closer to him once again and she rests her head on his chest with her arm around him, and slowly dozes off to dreamland.*
*The next day Bartox awakens, kisses Pandora and goes to make her breakfast....outside....*
*Pandora awoke with Bartox's kiss and sees him cooking breakfast. She walks outside in her slippers and kisses him on the cheek.*
Pandora-Good morning darling :) Hope you had a good night's rest after last night ;)
(Pandora was relieved after Bartox tucked his hands in because she's weary of his claws, she almost got cut when they were in bed sleeping)
Bartox- yes I did, thank you. how about yourself? and I hope I entertained you to your deepest desire....Breakfast is done. *He puts the meal on plates and they sit on the rocks and enjoy the rising sun.*
(Bartox also has a single claw on the wrist of his wings!)
Pandora-Oh I was entertained alright, believe me! ;) Thank you for breakfast :) *As she sits on a rock close to him enjoying the morning.*
Pandora-Uh, Bartox, that sun isn't gonna bother you, is it?
Bartox- Pandora, honey, thank you for caring and being concerned, but I AM over three million years old! I'm used to that blasted enternal ball of gas!
*They eat breakfast*
*Pandora can't help but burst out laughing, when Bartox said, "I'm used to that blasted eternal ball of gas!"*
Pandora-You're so silly! I bet you've heard a lot of jokes over those three million years! You've GOT to be the oldest and longest living creature on this planet! I mean no offense, but how could anyone else exist so long and see so much, it's incomprihensible to me! However, they do say very few dinosaur species have evolved over millions of years as well. You're an amazing being Bartox, and I'm glad you're allowing me, a 22 year old mortal female, to learn all about you :)
Batrox- ell, I've lived this long because of moments like this one. I live for the joys and nature and love. and yes, I've heard the old "I went to school with dinosaurs" jokes. amusing they are :) and I AM the oldest sentient creature on this planet
Pandora-I'm glad that there are times and that you just wanna live in the moment, although I know you hold onto the past, because you may be the only one who knows as much as you. I wanna live in that moment with you and never leave it. I want that moment to last for eternity, for time to basically not exist, only you and I in that space :) One day I will become a vampire, but for now, I know that you just as much as me, want me to exist and enjoy what mortality I do have.
Bartox- Well, I never known what it's like to be mortal. I was the first born vampire. but that is how I live from day to day and how I got through all that time.
Pandora-I hope that your experiences with me help you feel what mortality is like, in a sense. I know that some vampires who were once mortal enjoy the company of a mortal companion because they can feel the liveliness within that mortal. Maybe in some odd way, vampires and mortals DO need each other. I see some of the connections in this city, like you and I, and Arrmaduke and Sherry. The most adventurous mortals are interested in vampires, like me. We have a lot to learn from each other.
Bartox- It is true. vampire are dependant on mortals. for love, for food. if there were no mortals and the world consisted of only vampires, the planet would be thrust into civil war, most would die, and only the few independant on blood would barely surrvive. I've had time to contemplate. the thought has crossed my mind and I have, throughout my existance, fought the warlord vampires to keep the world in the best balance it can. I remember when Arrmaduke tried to take over....it was my fault he died... Can you say annonymous tip to Legolas?
Pandora-What you said makes perfect sense. Do any of the warlord vampires still exist? Did Arrmaduke used to be one, because he tried to take over? And I take it neither Arrmaduke nor Legolas know about the tip...
Bartox- Arrmaduke used to be a warlord vampire...yes. he had made an army of undead to help rid the world of slayers and would be slayers... and...as for Legolas, I had told some member of his army the tip, who told other officers, whom were over heard by higher ranking officers, whom told Legolas. that is how I ran things. that way I would never be directly linked or blamed. but now that I know Arrmaduke, though not as well as I would like, I think he's learned his lesson. don't you agree?
Pandora-Yes, Arrmaduke learned his lesson. But I have a question though. How many would've Arrmaduke killed had he succeeded? I mean, would that have eliminated a great majority of the mortal population?
Bartox- Yes...A great deal. only those whom willingly submitted would have been spared and bred for food. but I'm sure you can see complications in such procedures. the outcome would have been to all human life on this planet in the end. Arrmaduke would have bred out the humans, making undrinkable blood, and then the vampires would have killed those not needed and then the vampires would eventually fade out from starvation. well..those that need blood anyway. I saved the world from problems like that many a time... my reward is to see the world flourish because of my actions.
Pandora-It makes perfect sense, you know what was going to happen if Arrme succeeded, both vampires and mortals alike would've both been wiped out, leaving whatever species there were left to rule the world, so to speak. You're a great person, and everyone owes you their lives, but they don't know what you did. Do you think it best to keep it a secret?
Bartox- yes, I think it all for the best. I've done this for millenium all in secrecy. heh. you're the first person I've ever told. please keep what I've told you a secrete, my love. *He holds her hands and kisses them. he starts becoming transfixed on her smell and touch. basically, he ends up making out with her*
Pandora-I promise I won't say a thing :)
*Pandora than starts passionately kissing him as they make out.*
*Bartox and Pandora actually fall off their seats onto the dewy grass and they laugh*
Pandora-Bartox, you're so great to be around :) You make me laugh and smile on the inside :) I don't think either of our species knew that one from each could have so much fun together! :)
Bartox- hm. yeah, *Suddenly Bartox gets serious and looks like he's concentrating on somehting. somehting serious* Bartox- vampires have already left the city, Pandora.... what are they thinking??!! they're safer in the city than not! I'm sorry, love, but I must resolve this damned conflict before the innocent are killed! *Bartox then jumps to his feet and this is the first time Pandora actually whitness Bartox fly off*
Pandora-GOOD LUCK BARTOX, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
*As Bartox flies away in a hurry.*
*Bartox first goes to confer with Leon* Bartox- LeoN!! I have to get what family left the city! I feel there is great danger lurking outside, waiting for the right opportunity to kill!
