Welcome! Here you will find my tribute to everyone's favorite, (except you opera..[ehem]...Duncan fans,) beer drinkin', english speakin', sword bearin', 5,000 year old pain in the arse, ! A lot of things I couldn't possibly get on my own and I would like to thank Methosluvr's page, listed among my links, for most of the pictures and wav.s A sincere thank you goes out to anyone else who I might not have mentioned but certainly contributed.
For those of you who are new to the immortal known as Methos, or you old timers that just enjoy hearing about him again and again, here's the scoop. Methos remembers nothing of his earlier "pre-immortal" life, his memories start from when he took his first head. Later, about 3,000 years ago from the present, Methos joined up with three other immortals and rode around on horses creating havok and desruction on all the villages and people of that time. The fact that they were four people riding around on horses gave them their name of "The four horsemen," (catchy huh?) It was during this time that Methos was bent on chaos, he loved it, the killing, the terrorizing, and the gifts he recieved from it, mainly, the women. It was one such woman, Cassandra, (another immortal) who Methos trained as his slave by killing her again and again, until she finally molded to his likeing. Soon after, Methos seemed to have started likeing her back, and they had personal confrontations. On one such occasion Kronos, the leader of the four horsemen, intruded upon Mehtos' tent in which this was happening and insisted that Methos share his bounty with the rest of the clan. Cassandra screamed and fought, much to Kronos' amusement, she cries for Methos' help and he looks convinced for a moment before he lets Kronos proceed to take her. Afterwards he sits on his cot sliceing an apple and manages to cut himself, looking extremely blue about what has just happened. Some time later Methos decides that he has had enough and insists that he is going to leave, Kronos demands that the only way he can leave is through blood. Methos, desperately wanting to become a scholar, poisons Kronos, but does not behead him, and escapes from his immprisonment in the four horsemen. Not much detail is said about Methos' life from this point until he met up with Duncan McLeod, It is known that he keeps a diary and visits many contries learning many different languages. Methos then joins the secret organization of the watchers under the alias of Adamn Pierson, he graduated sixth out of his class and was soon put in charge of the Methos chronicles on trying to locate "the oldest man in the world." Of course, not wanting his head to be taken, Methos makes sure that that never happens. Until one day when Duncan is forced to find him before another immortal takes his head, they almost instantly become friends. Because of this Methos offers his head to Duncan insisting that with his quickening he can slay the evil immortals, for Methos is too rusty after refusing to fight all these years and would rather McLeod have his quickening than anyone else. Of course McLeod refuses and the immortal after Methos is placed into custody. Since then Methos and Duncan have been together throught the good times and the bad, including the deaths of those they love and trust.
