My work depicts mostly Fairhaven, Mass. and the surrounding towns of Mattapoisett, Acushnet, Dartmouth and New Bedford, as I've lived in this wonderful area all of my life. I'm self-trained in ink, acrylic, watercolor and graphite and I'm the great grandson of noted New Bedford artist and historian Clarence DeMontigny. Born in 1965, I have seen the area change over the years, however many places never change. A walk down onto Union wharf in Fairhaven is still one of my favorite spots. New ideas and angles are around every corner. Depicting those familiar places and landmarks from a new perspective is what I work towards.
