Kens 93 SeaRay SeaRayder Jet Boat
Below are pictures of what is inside the ignition box. I hacked the cover off, then had to chip away at the potting material to expose all of the components. It looks like a collection of diodes, resistors, 3 small SCRs, 3 large SCRs, three transformers, and one large capacitor. Problem with taking off the potting material is that many components were damaged. I will tinker with this as time permits.

This page will be dedicated to troubleshooting the ignition system on the Sport Jet 90.

It consists of an 1) ignition box, 2) stator that supplies the primary voltage, 3)trigger which tells the igniton box when to fire, and 4) the coils (one for each cylinder).

Click here to go to my new page with detailed test procedures
There are two wires from the stator, these two wires plug into the "adaptor".

There are two wires from the "adaptor", one is blue and the other is ground.

The wires on the igniton box are as follows:

Black is ground
Blue is input from stator "adaptor"
Red was used by previous stator, adaptor has made it obsolete and it is not plugged it
White/black stripe is the trigger common
Brown, white, and violet are the three trigger wires
Green, Green/White, and Green/Red are the three wires leading to the coils
