I found this VIN number on the trunk seal- Looks like 1106904 but that doesnt fit exactly into any known VIN decoders.
Should be 116 (Chevy II Nova V8) 69 (4 door) 6 (year 1966) X (assembly plant unknown)
But it was imported in to Thailand in 69. Could the 6th digit of 0 mean it was made in 1969?
If you know where and when right hand drive Chevys were made, please e-mail me.
VIN Mystery
Unfortunately I dont have any history on this car. The VIN has been ripped off the door sill and the cowl tag is gone too. I know it was imported to Thailand in 1969 and its orginal owner was a higher up in the Thai police force but has since died. I bought it from a small car repair shop who had inherited it from a guy that couldn't afford to pay the repair bill. I am the 4th owner.
