Mission -  The Kenilworth Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the Oswald Nitschke House, representative of the founding of Kenilworth; the political, social and economic forces and cultural traditions that shaped the community; and the rich history of Kenilworth from early settlement to the present day.  The Society is also committed to fostering an appreciation of the cultural arts.
                                      
To accomplish its mission, The Kenilworth Historical Society will acquire, research, document, exhibit and preserve materials, objects, buildings and sites available to the public.  This includes preserving and interpreting the Oswald Nitschke House; maintaining, exhibiting and interpreting the collections; and offering programs and events that educate the pubulic and present local history in the broader contexts of state and national history.  In achieving these goals, the Kenilworth Historical Society will develope and maintain the necessary financial and professional resources.  The Society shall be noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpolitical.  Furthermore, no commercial enterprise shall be promoted and no political candidate shall be endorsed.
