Coy or Koi?
Webster defines coy as acting more shy than one really is.
Koi is a Japanese word which means tri-colored. A Koi is a member of the Carp family.
These facts lead us into todays story. Todays guest doesnt realize it
but his activity is being monitored very closely by the DRCFA. Why? Billy Ill
just grow my own! Turner has a luxurious fountain and Koi pond in his own back yard!
Dont let this seemingly innocent and quiet guy fool you folks. He may be feeding
these fish steroids and extra portions of Green Giant Niblets as we get closer to the
Thanksgiving cut-off date! The DRCFA board members will be reminding Billy once again that
all fish must be caught in Dog River to be eligible for our tournament.
Before discovering this back yard bonanza today the Ol
Captain and Billy took a trip on the mighty Dog. After having the trolling motor rebuilt,
the ALVA D was hittin on all eight and this ancient slimmering sleek vessel cut
through the clear waters of the mighty Dog like a hot knife through butter. The beautiful
and cool fall-like morning reminded us that our season would soon come to an end. We had a
great morning talking and sharing. Is that all we did? Just talk and share and share and
talk? I thought youd never ask
..
Our Story
Carpin was slow today but Koi Boy Billy came through
with a 2 lb 6 oz Carp right off the bat. We only caught one more and guess who caught it?
Me!
There was another DRCFA craft afloat today as well.
Channel Cat Chuck Wolf had a newcomer to the DRCFA aboard the WILLIAM G today.
It was none other than County Line Baptist Churchs own David The Cardinal of
Carp McLendon. Due to undue peer pressure the Ol Captain was unable to acquire
a picture of his Spiritual advisor. As best we could tell there was one nice Cat boated on
the William G today.
I am attaching a picture of Billys best today. I am
also attaching two pictures of his beautiful back yard oasis. What an eclectic ecological
extravaganza! It is simply beautiful!
Billy
thanks for the tour and for going with me today!
It was a great day!
Until next time, Keep on Carpin'
