Secret Agent Man?

Many of you grew up during the James Bond era. You are well aware of the 007 movies and adventures. One of the earliest Bond movies was “Goldfinger”. The song went, “Goldfinger, he’s the man with the Midas touch of gold……..” You might be asking yourself…”Where is he going with this?” or “What can this possibly have to do with Carp fishing?”

Today my special guest was our own DRCFA board member and part time Secret Agent, Billy “Carp Galore” Turner! Talk about the Midas touch! Everything Billy touched today turned to a Golden Ghost! You read the reports. You know the facts. How often does the Ol’Captain get out Carped? Not often, but the Golden Child Billy Turner soundly whipped yours truly 13 to 1 today!!! (That’s no typo folks, I caught 1 Carp). It got so bad at one point that he was catching fish while talking on his cell phone! How humiliating! Will he be invited back on the ALVA D? Only the Shadow knows. It wouldn’t have been so bad but while he was on the phone I think I heard him tell a fish….. “Can you hear me now? Good!”

As we all know, there is a cloud behind every silver lining. Although he filled up the boat with fish, his biggest was only 2 Lbs, 12 ozs which kept him from placing in the tournament. Even so, Sean Connery and Roger Moore would have been so proud of Billy today.

I am attaching a picture of the Verizon kid in action and another of his catch of the day.
