There’s No Place like Home

Someone once said that “Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.” I believe that with all of my heart. We just got back from a short stint at the St. Augustine, Flagler Beach area of my native Florida. I fished a couple of mornings from Flagler Beach Pier. I spent a day fishing with Captain Vic along with Lauren’s main squeeze, Chris Brown. I enjoyed being away with Ramona, Chris and Lauren. But now I’m home. It’s time to get this Carp Thang rolling! Are you just going to roll over and let King Goff rule and reign? I should say not! June is here and it’s time to get serious!

March, April, May

For those of you who are into statistics and trends I have a Carp breakdown for you (No, that’s not a new dance .) These are the numbers of Carp boated each month aboard the ALVA D. Draw your own conclusions. Someone once said that statistics are like bikinis. They show a lot, but they don’t show everything.

March- 34 Carp
April- 52 Carp
May- 17 Carp

Tomorrow’s Guest

We are kickin’ off June with Billy Turner. Billy was the recipient of last years Discovery Award. Not only did Billy discover why we chase the Golden Ghosts but he discovered that if you aren’t careful them bad boys will pull your pole in the water!

Yep, I had a great time with my family and my good buddy and sponsor, Captain Vic but it’s time to get down to business! I am attaching two pictures of things you probably won’t ever see on Dog River:

1. A Navy Destroyer

2. A Redfish. (Please note the Ol’ Captain’s new High-Wah-Yen Shirt). This shirt might become a required uniform for all DRCFA members. Of course, this will be left up to the discretion of our board of directors.

I gotta go folks. I just wanted to catch you up on the latest news. I’ll post some dates in a day or two if you’d like to book an ALVA D adventure!
