Higginbotham and Hussein Out- Goff in!!
It has been a tough time for kings. When you are #1 someone
is always out to get you. Whether it is in the Middle East or in the middle of Dog River
the story is always the same. One day you are on top, the next day you are a memory.
Today's Story
After a 70 yr struggle for power and prestige the moment
arrived today for Mr. Charles Goff. At 1:35PM EST Charlie boated a 5 lb, 2 oz Golden Ghost
to dethrone Ken (What was that guys name?) Higginbotham as Carp King 2003.What was
his secret? Was it his wisdom? His humility? His skill? His experience? The way he was
holding his mouth? We may never know. All we do know is that today the DRCFA has a new
king!!! You can congratulate Charlie by e-mailing him at [email protected]
(editorial comment: If the scene above someday
appears before you on a road in Douglas County, [less Charlie, of course], please don't
despair. It's not the Clampets moving into the neighborhood. It's merely another
soon to be retired senior citizen frantically grasping for a meaning and purpose to life
after many years of making a contribution to society educating our children in the public
schools. So please don't be condescending, the driver may have learnt your kids to spel...

The stage is now set. The 5 places have been updated. How
long will this king last? Stay tuned to find out.
What does the future hold for King Goff?
Tomorrows guest is Sam Marlow. Sam fishes harder than
anyone I know. He just cant hep it! It is just his nature to go 110% regardless of
the task. He has challenged Mr. Goff to a short term reign. Talk is cheap. As always, the
proof will be in the puddin.

Life Lesson
Kings come and go. I am thankful each day that the King that
I serve never changes. He is Sovereign. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He
is Jesus Christ. Do you know Him? Want to know more? Visit your local church this Sunday!
Until next time, keep those lines tight and the drag set just
right!!
