Dorothy
and I were able to visit a National Park just outside
Bangalore
with Paul and Glenda Schipper from
Perth
,
just before we returned to
Sri
Lanka
.
Neither of us realised how huge these cats are.
They really are beautiful. Photo
one is of a cat gingerly picking its
way between the security fence and….yes, the electric wire fence.
How it got behind the electric wire we weren’t sure and how it was
going to get out, it didn’t seem to have worked out.
But it was quite sure it wasn’t going to get zapped!!
And every movement was carefully calculated
to keep it from those dreaded tingles!
The
second shot is of a white tiger of which the Park had a number.
What was encouraging is that both types were breeding and young cubs were
also evident.
