Filbert Fingers

1/2 cup sifted icing sugar (2 1/2 oz)

1 cup soft butter

2 cups flour (9 1/2 oz)

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup finely ground filberts (3 oz)

4 oz. sweet chocolate

4 teaspoons butter

Cream sugar and one cup butter together. Sift flour and salt into creamed mixture and blend well. Blend in filberts. Knead till smooth.

Roll in pencil like strips and cut into 2 inch lengths. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes

Melt remaining butter and chocolate and dip each end of cookie in it. Allow to set
