Two friends arrive, visiting from Austria. Adam and I agree to tour them around part
of Arizona using two planes, Adam's Cherokee and my rented Cessna.
Our route starts
at Goodyear, goes through Phoenix and Scottsdale, over Payson to Barringer Crater
near Winslow, then to Sedona and back to Goodyear.
Adam flies his Cherokee in to meet up with us at Goodyear.
Three of our 4 ready to depart Goodyear; Markus, Adam and Bernhard.
In minutes we're out of town and over Horseshoe Lake. This is a flood
control dam and is kept empty unless a surplus of water has to be stored.
Horseshoe is drained but leaves enough moisture behind to create a beautiful crop of green grass.
