Scottsdale to Mogollon Airpark at Heber-Overgaard. The real route
going was definitely not a straight line as I hunting my destination.
The route out of Scottsdale took me directly over the top of the McDowell Mountains just east of the city.
This is exciting terrain for fragile airplanes.
After topping the mountains Bartlett Lake is in view.
Bartlett Dam and weekend boat traffic make a pleasant view.
Rows and peaks of the Mazatzal Mountains sail past south and west of Payson.
