Tex Gehman
Clarke
(Tex) Gehman joined the RCAF when he was 17 years old in 1955. He started basic
training at Claresholm, Alberta on Chipmunks, then to Harvards and then on
to Sabres. His first operational tour was in France and spent many flights on
the E. Germany border diving the F86 supersonic at the Ruskies, like they say,
"for all you do, this boom is for you"
Tex
has flown R/C for many years and is the master of the low inverted pass. The
Extra 230 is from the Ace kit and was powered by a Q52. Plane has changed hands
and now is with Jim L.
The
Harvard was built from a Byron kit, a terrific flyer with a Q52, but a real
kangaroo to land!
Tex
continues to fly the Bucker Jungman from the Goldberg kit using a Q35 for power.
