The WHAM
club is our local club, many excellent flyers here. The field is
ok, a west pit would be a treat for evening flying to avoid having
to face into sun. The berm on landing approach can make the field
seem a little tight on some days. Club has a dandy swap meet
each November.

Big Sky site is down

We having been
flying out at the 40 acre Grabber Green field near Portage
for ages, some of you may remember the massive Big Bird
flyins out there in the early 1980's. and a couple in the
1990's. The hugely successful Scale 96 was held out there.
The Portage club has taken over the field since 1992. We
still make the trip out from Winnipeg to do a lot of big
bird flying as the huge field makes the flying very
