Big
Red Laser 200
Big Red is a name we gave to a 1/3 Laser 200 that Tex built in
1993 from the Lanier kit. The
airframe is still going strong after 7 years and is a nice flying plane. If you
use good equipment, no slimers and get lucky an airframe can last a few years. (click

Siggi
took ownership of Big Red in 1997 but quit the hobby in spring of 2000. I bought
Big Red from him after he pancaked it on a dead stick.
At the Rainy
River Fun Fly / Fish Fry in August of 2000. I added more white to the
color scheme and changed the wing letters to Laser 2000. Powered with a G62,
swings a Bolly 24x10, 23 to 24 pounds take off weight with 24 ounces of fuel and
36 ounces of smoke oil.
