 Holding Out My Hat

Hello Everybody's Brother,
Oh hey there Everybody's Other.
Look, I'm Everybody's Lifetime Friend.
Don't say I'm crazy, or lost, or dumb.
I'ts just I've nothing in my pocket and the light grows dim.
Never working always lazy, tsk, tsk, tsk, what a bumb.. so you
Got to walk on by?

Oh I know I'm always blamed for stuff, I know... and I
Understand why people laugh when I fall down.
That is life in this old town.

My feet and hands are good, and I could be working with you, Good Friends!
You know I'd be doing that if I weren't so busy.

Holding out my hat.
Always staying busy,
This is why I'm not you... you can see.

Universe

Never ending always expanding
boundary of no boundaries.
Always present never failing
forever changing but not changing.
Bright and burning but unburned
and re-begun but not-ended.

Where bliss in creation beholds
Oh breath that breaths me
Oh tear that cries me
Oh wonderous joy that awaits and precedes me

Forgive me now-oh Presence....
Oh God of me....
Knowledge of smallness granted my eyes to see.
