I wanted one bag that was large enough to contain all my usual range paraphenalia and not force me to leave some vital item behind. I carry my ammo in ammo cans but I needed a bag to carry everything else.
I looked at most every range bag I could find, and the only one that came close was the Dillon range bag, but it was still pretty small.
Then I found the Avery Pro Trainer's bag. It was apparently intended to address the needs of hunting dog trainers, but I found it nearly ideal for my purposes. Best of all it was only $49.99, purchased from Bass Pro Shops.
It's about the size of a large photographer's bag.
It has a wonderful assortment of interior pockets and a removable 5-pouch divider.
It also boasts an exterior pocket on every side, as well as one inside the top.

But hands down my favorite feature was an exterior mesh bag that clips on, and looks to be ideal for collecting dirty brass! Currently I have to take the dirty brass out of my range bag by the handful. The mesh bag is great because I can just unclip the bag, dump the brass out of it into my bucket, and I'm done!

The only potential weak point of this bag is that the plastic attachment points for the shoulder strap may not hold up, but it should be easy to replace them with metal carabiner clips if they break.
