Description
The biggest man you have ever seen. He has straight, dark unkempt
hair and pale skin. He carries a large hammer (War Maul) and wears
an oversized hauberk of steel scale mail. In battle he often likes
to grab any nearby large (50-100lbs) object and toss it at his opponent
crying out “Hey! … Fetch!”
History
Julius knows nothing of his family except that as a baby he was left
at the doorstep of the cathedral and that he ‘ … was a very BIIGG baby’.
So Julius was raised by the church but ridiculed for being a simpleton
by all, including those who professed themselves to be ‘Christians’.
As if that was not enough Julius has long had a vision that he will die
if he ever finds true happiness. He began work in the quarries at
an early age as a means of avoiding the townsfolk and it also gave him
a means to release pent-up frustrations. Because of his great size
eventually he came to the attention of the Bishop and was trained to be
a soldier. But he found no more acceptance among the Bishop’s men
than with the rest of the townsfolk. Many of the soldiers were bullies
anyways and the increasingly dubious sounding orders from the Bishop seemed
to make only these bad men happy. So when a strange dark man
in odd garb and accent came to the Captain and negotiated for Julius’ service,
Julius was willing to go along. At least it could not be any worse,
… right?
Personality
Calm and level headed but morose and laconic; otherwise, Julius is
basically a nice guy. Use Fezik from the movie ‘The Princess Bride’
as played by Andre the Giant or Eore of the Winnie the Pooh stories as
a model. He is actually neither as depressed nor as dim as
he makes himself out to be, but Julius has long had a vision that he will
die if he ever finds true happiness and so mostly as a subconscious
self-preservation measure he works hard at being depressed. Julius
would never admit it, least of all to himself, but he is lonely. So far
the only thing he has found that he enjoys is the brutality of combat.
Quote
“Come here Julius move this rock, go away Julius you broke his head.
It’s the stooory of my life” “Hey! … Come here! Julius make
you Squishy!!” – battle cry , “Hey! … Fetch!” – battle cry on tossing a
large object

The Church: Well, [shrug] they raised me, … but there were
some mean people there too.

The Fey: Ohhh … they pretty.
The Infernal: Ohhh, …. I suppose those are the guys you want me to hit, … right?
The Divine: Ohhh … they pretty
The Nobility: Well, [shrug] they trained me, … but there were
some mean people there too.
Rules
In battle because of his large size Julius may grab any nearby large
(50-100lbs) object and toss it at his opponent for same combat stats as
a Caber except the range is Near instead of Close.
