Description
Appears as a tall but broad shouldered teenage boy. Dressed in
the rough dirty cloths of what could be guessed a smithy worker.
His hair is short, brown and badly cut.
History
Jacqueline was the first child of a local Blacksmith but her mother
died giving birth to her. Her grieving father tried, mostly unconsciously,
to make her into the son he never had so naturally she grew up as a tomboy.
Her life changed when passing an alley at night she saw a group of people,
people with pale skin and glowing eyes, that were attacking an old priest.
Without thinking she grabbed a stick of wood and with amazing speed and
agility destroyed the attackers. The priest introduced himself as
Ancel and said that she was the new Chosen one.
For security Beschuetzer goes to great lengths to hide her sex in general and her identity in particular. The only other person who knows her true identity is Ancel and it is he who gave her the Germanic name ‘Beschuetzer’ (bee – shoot – zer which translates as paladin, guardian, protector or buckler) as a cover. As Jacqueline she tries to maintain a normal life, with many friends and family in the surrounding area. But there are evil creatures that are intelligent enough to hunt the hunter and the less they know about her and her family the better. Also most normal people would not understand or accept the idea of a woman warrior.
Beschuetzer became a member of the Order of Hermes at the prompting of Ancel and upon the examination of her superhuman abilities by the Questior Kahzim. This was over the objections of many in the Order who see Beschuetzer’s totally non-Hermetic origin and strange powers as reason enough to exclude her. The Questior Kahzim felt that however inexplicable her powers and origin might be she was obviously a powerful worker in magic and she would be best in the Order rather than out of it. Ancel feared the growing influence of the Bishop over the Society of Leopold and wanted to keep Beschuetzer safe and independent by having her join the allied Order of Hermes. Jacqueline probably did not really understand what all the fuss was about.
Personality
Immature, generally happy

View of The World and Its Powers
The Church:
Francis, the village priest, never liked me and was always mean to
me, and Ancel tells me stories about how horrible the bishop is.
There are some very nice people in the Church, like Ancel, but there are
also obviously some very bad people as well.
The Faith:
I feel an inner peace when I pray and I feel safe from the horrors
of the world. Faith is an inner harmony of peace and the salvation of many
The Gift:
Having lots of fun so far, but it I do have to be careful.
The Order
These guys are just a little bit weird. I do not think they really
like me. I just wish they would try to be happly once in a while.
The Fey:
I have never met one, Ancel says they are dangerous but from the drawings
he has shown me they look beautiful.
The Infernal:
Send them back to Hell!!!!
The Divine:
Glorious and beautiful. All that is good and pure.
The Nobility:
They make papa work for them until he is so tired it makes me cry.
When they come around on their big horses I try to stay away from them
and they do not seem to notice me.

Some of the F&E bonus information taken from the Rabenstien
House Rules
Familiar
Summoning a familiar is obviously going to have to wait for a while
as Beschuetzer currently knows nothing of the requisite Amimal form to
complete the ritual. But when she does learn it she has always admired
the solitary huntress that is the cat.
Talisman- A wooden stake as F&E bonus for Arrow (+2 Aiming, +3 Direction +3 Speed, +2 Impulse, +1 Menace)
Lesser Enchanted:
Training Apparatus; adds to exp allocated to combat related skills.
Nose of a Bloodhound, to track undead F&E bonus (+5 Sense of Smell)
Crucifix F&E bonus (+3 protection against evil)
Shape of a Cross F&E bonus (+1 protection from evil)
Rules
Obviously the entire character skirts both the letter and intent of
the rules and will require approval from the GM. Most of the spells
take advantage of the 4th edition rule that reducing the range of a spell,
from ‘touch’ to ‘personal’, reduces the spell magnitude by one.
Because of the high accuracy of the special ‘Wooden Dart’ spell (see Grimore) the player&GM should consider using the Optional Called Shot Rule on pg165.
Curse of Venus: Always appearing as a male has been a bit of a problem.
Women are often falling in love to this charming and sensitive young man,
+3 to Presence rolls. Having never really tried, Jacqueline finds
it very difficult to act feminine even when she wants to be, -1 to Presence
and Communication rolls when attempting to appeal to a man that she is
attracted to.
