Introduction

Shatin is a completely-developed new town, most of the land are for residential uses.

In Shatin, there are a lot of cultural, recreational and sports facilities. included of City Hall, swimming pools, football courts, arenas, and stadiums for the residents of Shatin to use. In addition, there are three parks: Shatin Park, Penfold Park, Ma On Shan Park. Also, there are many tour spots for sightseeing.

Place Characteristic

In Shatin, there is the longest tunnel in Hong Kong---Tale's Calm Tunnel. There is the first tunnel in Hong Kong---Lion Rock Tunnel. There is the largest museum in Hong Kong--- Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Shatin has 5 KCR stations: Tai Wai station, Sha Tin station, Fo Tan station, Racecourse station, University station. There is the oldest and largest village---Tai Wai Village.
