KELLY’S SATAY

1 Kg diced rump steak
2 Tbsp tomato paste
3 Tbsp white vinegar
3 Tbsp tomato sauce
3 Tsp. Curry powder
2 Tbsp oil
1/2 Tsp. Chili powder
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tsp. Garum masala
1 Tbsp water
2 Tsp. Ground cumin
1 clove garlic.

Method

Mix all together. Marinade steak for 24 hr.  Marinade in a glass or ice cream container as the mixture taints plastic.  Soak skewers for atleast 4 hours.
 
 

SATAY SAUCE

4 Cloves garlic roughly chopped
4 tsp grated root ginger
4 Tbsp dark soya sauce
4 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp olive oil
½ C Brown sugar
4 Tbsp crunchy peanut butter
½ C water
 

Method
Put all ingredients in a pot over a low heat until thickens

This sauce also makes a great compliment to all meats, add to rice for a rissotto or even a topping on scones!!!!
