| Mc Roberts, Kelsey Mr. Haskell World History 17 November 2005 The Glorious of Revolution of Britiain in 1688 vs Declaration of Independence vs Declaration of the Rights of Man Similarities There were many ways that these three Revolutions were alike. In each, they had to do with The Rights to Man and how men had the right to a voice in the government and were born with equal rights. Each as well had to do with leaving a higher power for the better turn out of the people. Each as well had to deal with the people re-belling back. It is very weird that each of them, even though at different times, are so much alike. The Glorious Revolution in Britain in 1688 vs Declaration of Independence vs Declaration of the Rights of Man Differences To start off, the Glorious Revolution happened in England and the Declaration of Independence happened in America, or the thirteen colonies that broke off from England to create their own government. In The Glorious Revolution in Britain in 1688 as well had to do with the Catholic Church and King James II. Also, with the Declaration of Independence, there were many men who created it and all agreed on how to run our country at the time, rather then one single person. In the Declaration of the Rights of Man, it dealt the French men of an organized national assembly. The Impact of the Glorious Revolution in Britain The evolution of the western government from the Glorious Revolution in Britain was the fact that the new found country, or colonies did not want to have the same governing that they had back in England of a king and a higher class. The fathers of the American revolution sat down together and discussed what their country was going to contain and what it wasnt going to contain. With the fact that no king was wanted, they decided to have an equal government where everyman is equal. The affected the French revolution because the French saw that you could govern with out a king and allow to have men be equal in government. |
