Dear Senator: I am trying to communicate to all the Senators that there are some serious issues involving the care, treatment, and condition surrounding the Dialysis patients. I realize there are special committees to serve and deal with this issue, however things have neither improved nor changed. A lot of the things have fallen by the wayside because of the current situation with the terroists, and while I fully understand this issue must take presidence over others, but you as our Government said we had to go on living our everyday life. And that is what exactly these people are trying to do, however their units and care are still horrendous. Surveys of late in Texas and Arizona have been deleted in certain areas, pages requested come up conveniently lost, equipment missing from the crash carts, filled syringes left on counters with unknown solutions, bottles of medicine and solutions used for the machine with expiration dates of 2/99 that are still being used, technicians leaving patients unattended which has resulted in deathes and having other patients try to help their friends while they are connected themselves. These are the start of an ever growing list. I am sure if each of you would check into your own state you would find these conditions there also. With the current problems being exposed with the Dialysis filters made by Baxter, that have caused so many deathes, you should make the effort to check into these proven details. Their deaths and mistreatments from these problems do not make front pages nor do they receive a settlement, so it's cast aside. These friends, family members as well as ourselves, are victims just like those in New York, the only difference is that those that attacked us were outside terroists, and these controlling the patients lifes are terroists from within our own COUNTRY and GOVERNMENT.
