| Alrighty, hello readers, who actaully took the time out of their day to read my little artical, where do I start? Do I start with the opening WELFARE! The Yankee's are getting all of New York's money EXTRA EXTRA! No I wont start off with that, should I start off with, "After they lost in the World Series people realized there was more that one good team in the MLB READ ALL ABOUT IT " But again no! I think that just for my own purposes that I will just start off by saying what the hell? Are the Yankee's the only team that we can talk about? Now I'm not saying this just cuz I am a 110 % Mariner fan, I am saying this as a person who up till about a year and a half ago didnt watch baseball. Yes I will confess this as I KelseyGarciaWilson was a non baseball lover, that is until my best buddy who's web site you can visit here got me hooked on it for good. But enough about me, back to the Yanks, alrighty, why is it that everywhere you look, there are people worshipping the Yanks? There are countless movies with them, the popular show "Seinfeld" promots them and there are even like rappers sporting the Yankee gear! Now why is that? Is is because the owner of the Yank's is brainwashing everyone, is it because he is paying them off, or is it because like no other place will sell any other teams merchandise for fear that if we started to like another team, that baseball will be fun! Who knows, in my opinion, I think that they are way too hyped up, for example, the Mariners broke a record and won 116 games, and what Yankee can say that he did that? The Mariners aqquired a first rate rookie later named MVP Ichiro, what Yankee can say they he ever shared the club house with someone that great? Giant's slugger Barry Bonds hit 70 homers, what Yankee can say that he has ever done that or even hit over 60? Ya I know about Roger Maris getting the 61th homer duh, I dont live in a hole, it was just an example. Arizona, was only a francise for 4 years and they won the WS and what Yankee or actually any team for that matter, can say that? But after the WS was over, instead of congratulating the winner, they showed close up's of the Yankee's, interview's with Joe Torre, and then a big post report on how sad it is that the WS winners wasnt New York, like HELLOOOOO there is another team on the field that deserves to be congratulated and that would be the winners. The M's and their 116 wins, what was the first thing they said? Wow they just past the Yankee's oh well who cares its not like there are any other teams in the league, well they didntsay that but you get my drift. So ya know all I am saying is maybe baseball would get a little more interesting if people knew that there was more that just a couple of teams out there, ya never know, maybe the Yankee's will even grace fully step down from the spot light .... NOT BLOODY LIKLY those damn Yanks' will be dragged kickin and screaming from center stage! But seriously, I am soo tired about hearing "Yankee's this and Yankees that" that I am about to scream! Cheer for another team, cheer for the Expos they will be gone soon enjoy them while you can, cheer for the Brewers, they need some support or just cheer for Seattle I dont really give a damn but stop talking about them Yanks!!!!!!! |
