A mainstay in long releif seemed to be the future for Jeff Nelson JR as he is affectionatly called by my fellow Ms fan bud, but Ryan works quickly, and towards the end of the 2002 season he established a sport in the Mariners starting rotation.
Ryan works quickly and commands 5 pitches. He has a lot of different ways to get hitters outta there. But the big key to his success is the confidence he gained from his experience in the Olympics. He belives (and I do too) that he will forever belong in the big leagues. |
