Was the club's Opening Day short stop, after beng the Opening Day second basemen in 1999 and the Opening Day third basemen last season ... hit .297 with 13 Ribbies in May 2001 ... Posted the highest batting average on the club in the second half of the 2000 season ... also lead the club with a .348 average in August, while driving in 20 runs in 26 games ... drove in the game winning, series clinching run in the bottom of the ninth inning hin Seattles's 2 - 1 victory over Chicago in Game 3 of the ALDS with a bunt sigle. Even though he cheated and was standing on the plate as he was hitting but hey who cares!
