Besides Edgar, there is no other thing that distracts a pitcher more than Bret Boone on deck.  This ribbie machine is hitting .306 with a .633 SLG.  Bret reminds me of that old song Electic Company : No right turn, no left turn. What do you throw to Boone?  he can hit them all.  Everyone thought hey he should slow down soon right?  WRONG! Boone wont stop till he is holding that World Series Ring in his little hand!

2001 was the re introduction of our "oh so hot" 2nd basemen, and that year he didnt dissapoint, he not only captured a Gold Glove, but he broke the record of most RBI for a second basemen (that record was broken in 2002 by Alfonzo Soriano of the New York Yankees) <-- stupid Yankees.

His 2002 season was ... less productive, though it cant be expected that he break a record every year ... he could ... he just doesnt wanna SO LEAVE HIM ALONE.  He did sign a contract extension until 2004 and he has an option for 2005.
