May All Beings
Be Free of Suffering
Never Give Up

Never give up
no matter what is going on
Never give up
Develop the heart
Too much energy in
your country
is spent developing the mind
instead of the heart
Develop the
heart
Be compassionate
not just to your friends
but to everyone
Be compassionate
Work for peace
In your heart and in the world
Work for peace
And I say again
Never give up
No matter what is happening
No matter what is going on     around you
Never give up"

New Tibetan Refugees Need Your Help

There has been an increasing number of new refugees coming out of Tibet since the mid 1980s. Every day, Tibetans young and old, attempt the treacherous journey over the Himalayas, risking gunfire from Nepalese and Chinese border police, snow blindness and frostbite. Many lose their extremities to the cold, and still others never make it to safety.

Refugees leave Tibet in search of freedom, to see the Dalai Lama
and to get an education in the
monasteries and schools established in exile. In India, however, due to scarcity of financial support and the hot climate, refugees face severe sickness and poverty.

Please consider sponsoring a monk, nun, child or any new Tibetan refugee
living in India or Nepal. You can help them by sending 20 dollars a month
or so (up to your ability). They seriously need any help you can give.
Your contribution will pay theirmedical bills, school fees and give them
better accommodations.

If you are interested in helping a new Tibetan refugee, please contact
Tenzin at the Milarepa Fund. After you have made a selection, you will
receive a picture and address of the person you sponsor. Once you start
sponsoring a person, you will get his/her personal letters sent directly
to you and your friendship will grow from there. ....Thank you

Nonviolence is more than a philosophy, it is an active way of life.

As China stands poised to become one of the great economic and military
superpowers of the next century, there is the issue of
Tibet. The time is now for the Chinese government to resolve this issue by entering into immediate negotiations
with His Holiness the Dalai Lama without preconditions, and our administration
must play an active role in bringing these talks about.

In order to bring about these negotiations, we must act on all levels to pressure our governments and business leaders to use
their clout and influence to help Tibet. Our strategy contains economic action, political action and the use of international grassroots pressure.

In today's world, decisions get made based on the bottom-line.  This means that political climate is directly influenced by economic climate. Because we cannot elect our business leaders, we must use our dollars to vote for what we believe in. China represents the largest emerging market in the world and countries all over the globe are eager to rush and get a piece of the pie. We believe that companies
and consumers have an incredible opportunity to support and foster
human rights through taking immediate economic action.
