June 8 (cp)

Well that game everyone was looking forward to all season was a big bust.  The Assassins Vs. The Krunch never got underway as both teams were struggling for players.  They have agreed to reschedule but a makeup date hasn't been set yet.  Chris Hadwin was not at the June 1 game and it was decided among the team to release him.  Trudy Gardner notified Mike this week she too was not playing for the team anymore.  Reason given: didn't play position she was signed on to play.  This now leaves an opening for one or two females who are interested in playing with the Krunch.
If you are an intermediate level female player looking for a team, email the coach at the link above and let him know. Joey Easter is on the disabled list until further notice.  A back injury has left him sidelined for a couple of weeks so far.  With the departure of Chris Hadwin the Krunch recently signed Ryan Knox.  He's a little rusty but the team sees good potential.  With only two games left everyone is talking about Adam Dodds' season. Can Adam Dodds break the 100 mark for bases in a season?  Michael Kay has been the only player in Krunch history to do it so far but Adam is only 18 bases away from the mark. Also if he goes over 100 he will simutaneously be setting a record for most bases in a season.  Mike Kay's record of 22 runs in a season is achievable by Adam Dodds but with two games left and 8 runs needed to beat the record he will have to have two incredible games.  He is definitely having an MVP year leading the team in all the offensive categories.
