All About Jensen
Jensen Ackles joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives" in June of 1997, as the long lost Eric Brady, Ackles was born on March 1, 1978 in Dallas, Texas and was raised in Richardson, Texas. As a child and young teenager, Jensen was a model for loval magazines and department stores. In High School, he was a sports nut, playing almost every sport his school offered. When he was 16, he attended an acting workshop in Dallas, and was loved by the casting scouts. His manager urged him to come to LA then, but he decided to finish High School. After graduating in 1996, Ackles left home and came to LA to persue an acting career.
After coming to LA, Jensen quickly landed acting work. He did small roles on shows like "Sweet Valley High", and the popular sit-com "Cybill". After that, he landed a regular role on NBC's "Mr. Rhodes", playing Malcom. He almost decided to move back home, until he learned that he was the new Eric Brady on "Days", and since even before he premiered, he has been a fan favorite.
Jensen also takes time out for his fans, doing personal appearances every weekend.
