The BeginningThe Beginning In the early days of mankinds deep space travel, many minning companies saw what potential other worlds contained. Some such as the Denari minning company of Pennsylvania were among the first to purchase a section of space for their own prospects. The system found in their region was soon labeled the Morian system after the largest, and most earth like planet there. Such a find was extremely rare. Upon colonizing the planets, 2 races known as the kookies and kneewoks were discoverd after initial surveys had failed to discover them. The kneewoks were generally placid and tribal like in nature with their most advanced technology being along the lines of Greeko-Roman standards. The Kookies on the otherhand had some rather advanced technology reminicent of early 21st centruy earth tech Formation of the Morian Republic Due to the discovery of the Kookies, only the planet of Moria was settled. At this point the Denari minning company changed its name to the Morian Minning corporation and moved all its operations to the Morian Capital. After several raids by Kneewok barbarian tribes on outlying settlements, Morian leaders realized they needed to field a military to protect themselfs and their interests, but due to new legislation by the UN back on earth, they would be required to become a new nation to do so. On January 29th of 2190, the final resolution passed in the UN's new intergalactic security council and the Morian Republic was born. |
