These carriers were among the last designed and built during the Morian Republic. Their main purpose under the Kel-Morian flag is to provide a place for fueled aircraft to "refuel" or to resupply any ordinance they have such as missiles. Though fairly big in size as ships go, they really don't take part in battle beyond that. Though on occasion they do carry a complement of fighters and operate as a standard "medium" carrier.
