The KMPT-M1 "Oylmpic" Gunboat is the most common vessel in the Dukes fleet and several squadrons of the Executors personal Elete Guard. Designed by USD Enterprises on contract from the Kelenis-Morian military in response to concerns of not having a proper gunship to respond to immediate threats or uprisings. Their first action was in 2371 when a small group of terrorists caused a jailbreak on the prison moon of Alexandria. At the time, two had just rolled off the production lines not even a week before going into action. Before reinforcements could arrive, the KMPT-01 "KMS Essex" and the KMPT-02 "KMS Titan," successfully ended the uprising in less than 2 hours on their own. That operation was expected to last more than a week. As a result, the Kel-Morian military and some law enforcement agencies ordered many more of these ships. They currently are the backbone of the Kel-Morian Light Assault Fleets
