Kelmar Collies is a joint venture between mother and daughter. Ours is a small kennel located on the shores of Stockton Lake in the foothills of the Ozarks, in Southwest Missouri.
Our foundation bitch was Charmant's Penny Power a double up on Ch. Sujims's Mr. Onederful who went back to Ch. Parader's Country Squire.
Our first champion Ch. Milen's Step Aside (Penny's grandson) was Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the National Collie Club of America Specialty in 1989. He was co-owned & co-bred with Helen Cornio of Milen's collies.
We have bred and shown several champions since then. We travel to shows in the Midwest area so look for us at ringside. Mom (Marge) will be laughing and visiting while daughter (Peggy) is grooming and showing.
We are members of the Collie Club of America, Collie Health Foundation, Ozarks Kennel Club and Central Iowa Collie Club.
We strive to produce beautiful collies which are sound in body and mind. We believe in quality NOT quantity!
