Hi, my name is Kelly. My ideal job has always been to run a Home Childcare. In Feb. 2001, my husband and I moved into our home in the Gibb and Thorton area. I was considering at that time to start the planning of my Home Childcare, however my dream was put on hold because we were planning to have a child. Since I was well established at my job at that point and I wanted to take the full year of maternity leave, I thought it would be best to wait. In September 2002, I gave birth to my daughter Jadzia. After my maternity leave ended, I decided that I would go back to work and see how it worked out. I did like my job, but my love for working with children was stronger, so I decided that it was time to do what I love, and that is to work with children.
In September 2004 I opened my childcare. Since then I've watched my childcare children grow and develop with great pride. We've done countless crafts, baked and cooked our snacks and lunches together, gone on trips to the Toronto Zoo, Kids Zone and Loblaws cooking classes, walked miles on end to and from local parks and so much more. I look forward to many more years with my childcare.
