Travels
Ever since I was a little kid, my parents would hitch up the travel trailer and we would take off for two weeks every summer to explore the USA. I have been to almost every state.

The summer after my sophomore year at MSU, I went to Sofia, Bulgaria for three months as a part of the Minority International Research Training Program. I ran an independent research project on myopia at the Medical University. While I was there, we took many weekend train trips to explore Bulgaria. We also took a week to visit Athens, Greece and a week to visit Istanbul, Turkey.

The summer after my junior year at MSU, I participated in an MSU Office of Overseas Study program titled Medical Ethics and the History of Health Care in London, England. While I was there, we took long weekends to Edinburgh, Scotland, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Dublin, Ireland. I also went to the Bahamas for a week that summer to participate in  Bahamas: Project Dolphin which was a research trip aboard a yacht that FORCED me to snorkle with dolphins every day and take pictures of them.

The summer after my senior year at MSU, my mother and I took a tour of Europe for three weeks. We visited many cities in England, France, Switzerland, and Italy.

I then returned again to London, my favorite city, for the millenium.

My latest travel adventure was our honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Now that we are married, we have done a lot of travelling around Michigan. It is funny that I have done so much exploring overseas and in other states but I have not seen a lot of my own backyard.

In all, the countries I have visited in the past few years include: Canada, Mexico, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, England, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and Switzerland. I hope to add more countries to the list soon.
