This was the first layout ever in the history of After the Rain. It was a simple table with the CSS color-changing-links code. It had the pretty purple cloud tiling background and a flamingtext banner across the top. Not very much content or ideas, and not much work ever really went into this one. Until...
After the Rain goes through an evolution in which hex codes are used, iframes are used, content is organized in four columns, and content level goes way up. Text area is expanded and bottom notes are added. Color scheme goes to indigo and #8E7FB0.
After the rain undergoes drastic changes after the purple starts to give me a headache. Tables inside of tables are used, and my beautiful Marmalade Boy picture is cut up and part of it is made into a background, to give the effect of the iframe being magically hovering over the picture when it is not. A peachie.nu background is used, and all content goes to a cornflowerblue/dodgerblue color scheme and is shrunken to fit the iframe.
Version Marmalade is shipped off to become the webmistress' new sub-site. Ultimate table skills are used to make a new, cute little format with CSS and iframes. Scrollbar color manipulation is used with a tutorial. A gradience code is used for the TD backgrounds, and the color scheme goes to #00008B and #87CEEB.
My last chance at making a Star Wars layout before it goes outta style... celebrating the eternal Padme Amidala. Another iFrames, of course, because that's how we do. First music is added to ATR, as well as the shift of the "About Me" page to the sidebar, with some other spiffies thrown onto the sidebar for good measure. Not a limited table, so you scroll on the main page for the most part, instead of doing the scrolling inside the iFrame. Color scheme of #001122 and #AACCDD.
After a long break in updates for ATR, I decided to come back and "mature" the site somewhat in preparation for college days to come. Essentially the layout was Night Lights revamped with original pictures, this particular one taken from Yamadera in the Yamagata prefecture of Japan. Site content is put on a diet - out with the fluff, in with the good stuff. New color scheme is #004400 and #DDEEDD.
