Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm pressing play - why can't I hear the music?
A: The music-player code is based off of RealPlayer, and you need RealPlayer in order to hear it. If you do not have it on your computer, you can download it by clicking here to go to RealPlayer's website.

Q: How did you get the picture of Padme in your "Night Lights" layout?
A: The picture is cropped from a wallpaper I found on SimonZ's Home Page, which is a goldmine of beautiful Revenge of the Sith pictures. Any true Star Wars fan needs to go check it out. The picture is used with expressed permission from Zoltán Simon, the friendly and talented creator/webmaster.

Q: Why aren't the graphics at the bottom of the pages working??
A: This is something new Geocities is using to harass webusers. If you exit out of the Yahoo! GeoCities ads before all of the page's images are loaded, none of the images will finish loading. Unfortunate, but true.

Q: How come there aren't very many graphics on the site?
A: Well, because I am graphically challenged. Really. I don't even have a decent graphics program and I'm pretty terrible with pictures. I like to focus my layouts more around the mechanics of HTML, and as a result there's a clear lack of pictures on the site.

Q: May I use your layout on my website?
A: No. ^_^ Thanks for asking, though.

Q: How did you make the scrollbar colorful?
A: I used a scrollbar generator tutorial from http://www.peachie.nu. However, I believe the original website is no longer maintained, but you can probably find a similar tutorial if you look it up using a search engine.

Q: Your site looks really weird. Is this supposed to happen?
A: If what you're seeing looks really weird, or deviates drastically from the picture of this layout under "Graveyard," it's because you're looking at my site using Netscape, a macintosh, or some really primitive form of internet explorer. If you want to see what my site is supposed to look like, download Internet Explorer 5 or higher from the Microsoft Internet Explorer Homepage

Q: What kind of design program did/do you use to make your website?
A: I actually don't use Frontpage or Dreamweaver or anything like that; I write page scripts from scratch. Any codes I haven't memorized by heart at this point I just copy and paste from a HTML Help website (such as Funky Chickens HTML Help). But other than that, it's all me- I just have so many codes memorized because I've been making websites since I was 8. It's honestly just a lot of trial-and-error coding. As for the banner at the top, that was done with a combination of Paint and Microsoft PhotoEditor, which really isn't much of a graphics program, but I like it anyway.
