Early facts of John Lambert life came from his manuscript. He says he was born in 1785 in Martin Co. NC. That he came at the age of 9 with his father to GA (Burke Area)(1794) (this doesn't fit the migration of the two other Lambert families in GA). by 1808 my John is in Milledgeville GA, by 1813 he is in Lawrence Co. MS.

He married Agnes Brown, about 1810 in GA. She was probably daughter of Francis Brown.

John discovered Methodist religion early in his life and his father was against it. His father was of the Calvinistic Faith. I believe his father was alive in1808. It is thought that his father's name might also be John. In 1808 John attended a camp meeting in defiance of his father wishes. He went to a Methodist meeting.

In 1809 John said he went Wilkinson Co. GA and also in 1809 he said that he went to Hancock Co. which was 70 miles away form where he was living. He said that he travel through Milledgeville to get there. I figure he was living some where in Baldwin Co. GA. by 1818 he is in Lawrence Co.MS His children were... female, James, Peter Downer, Mary,John Jr., Andrew, Susan L., Elizabeth, Thomas, Hiram, Joseph, Gideon M.C., Urban, David, Manerva, Rankin.
