PRAYER II
Psalm 91

Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the
LORD
"
He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Surely
He will save me from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover me with His feathers, and under His wings I will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be my shield and rampart.
I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me.
I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because I make the
Most High my dwelling-
even the
LORD, who is my refuge -
then no harm will befall me, no disaster will come near my tent.
For
He will command His angels concerning me to guard me in all of my ways; they will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone.
I will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
I will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because you love Me," says the LORD,
"I will rescue you; I will protect you, for you acknowledge My name.
You will call upon Me, and I will answer you;
I will be with you in trouble, I will deliver you and honor you.
With long life will I satisfy you and show you My salvation."

Psalm 103: 1-5

Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise
His holy name.
Praise the
LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits-
Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Psalm 118:17

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted.
But
He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace
(shalom: the peace that comes from being whole, nothing missing, nothing broken) was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
