Mathew

Your pieces pulled apart do not appeal:
Your look, your voice, your words, your rants, your town.
Your dirty habits all please disappear.
The silence absence carries wears me down.

And oh what faults ambitions paved your way
Im smothered blind by my uncertain part.
Concerns of others capture too much sway.
And faithless promise comes from faithless heart.

But you are more than pieces well I know.
Together I can always find my smile,
And your mere touch warms all my body glow,
And tearings cease when Im with you awhile.

Though love and reason seldom bargains seal,
The reason for my love I ever feel.
