This picture was taken on Halloween, 1994.  I love this photo because of the faces. They show my girl's personalities so clearly.

Let's start with Jess..the beautiful princess.  So very shy and unsure of herself. She has always wanted to just be loved and accepted and although she spent most of her school years being teased and hurt she never lost her desire to care about people. If you look closely I think you can see her gentleness and beautiful heart. With all she has endured and all she will continue to endure her strength and need to continue just amazes me! Jess is my hero and she will always be my princess.

Now there's Jamie..the wild Indian. So very confident and hard to control. She is stubborn, driven and brilliant. When she was younger she made me crazy at times but I always knew in my heart that her strong will would be a huge assett when she was older.  She comes across as cool and unneeding but I know how much she still needs acceptance and love. She's sometimes tough on Jess but maybe she knows more than me how to help her sister.  She's amazing and  may just be the first female President.

Two different girls,  yet more alike than either would ever admit.
