| Chapter Nine
Back 8:30 I stood up and ran a hand through my hair. It had grown a lot in the last month and was getting to one of those in-between style annoying phases. Joby being the clown he was, flipped a flashlight into his hand and clicked it on over the hole. It went downdeep. The range of the flashlight faded away into the dark-ness of the hole. It reminded me of a DVD I saw once where these kids came across a well with a ladder and it just went downas if forever. Well? Joby looked at me as John kneeled on the floor and forward onto his hands to see down the hole. Now what? Well, Jobe, Im not sure. I looked up. Maybe we should find Dad and the oth-ers. Okay, Joby nodded and touched his ear. Uncle Den, come in, Uncle Dennis. I should have known Joby would have had one of those new fangled mics. Id heard about tem. The earpiece went deep in the ear and the mic could easily replace a large cavity. And it cant be detected by any modern technology. U-huh, he nodded. Roger. He took his hand away from his ear. Uncle Den says to meet up at what used to be the cafeteria. They have something to show us. |
