| Chapter Two
Back Once she was able to eat again, the doctors decided to keep her for one night longer to make sure she really was capable of handling solid food. Craig left and came back with a pizza, complaining he was getting sick of hospital food. He handed a plate to Onyx and sat on the bed next to her so they could both watch TV. What did you mean the other day when you said you wanted some one around if you were going to have a relationship? Craig shrugged. Ive done the distance thing. He took a bite of his pizza and watched Onyx mull over the information he had given her. He swallowed. Besides we were beginning to drift apart anyway. So, what kind of guy are you looking for? Hopefully one whos not like Kaiser. Onyx stuck her tongue out at Craig. He shook his head. No, Im done with men like him. If theyll have me, this new person is smart and caring. Always there when you need them. They just do their own thing and dont care what other people think or sayWell, most of the time. Sounds like a really great guy. Onyx let her shoulders drop. Who ever ends up with you is going to be a lucky guy. She sighed. You know how I feel. Always have. Craig smiled. Im just glad youre not with Kaiser anymore. She shrugged. Im really not all that hungry right now. She pushed the half eaten piece of pizza over the box towards Craig. I all of a suddenly feel tired. I think Im going to get some sleep. She lied back and Craig did too. She closed her eyes and he put his arm around her. Ya know, Onyx, about that guy Im after Onyx mumbled something and rolled over. Craig smiled and pushed the loose hair from in front of her eyes. Its not a guy at all, Onyx. He rolled so his chest was against her back and put an arm over her. Not a guy at all. |
