Kate Winslet, Actress

"The psychology had always been 'I'm fat and I have to be thinner.' [People think that] if a woman isn't rail-thin, then there must be something wrong with her- it's such nonsense.
Look at Marilyn Monroe, size 16 and gorgeous. We don't see people like her any more, we just see these perfect thin people. This whole weight thing shouldn't be up for discussion. I just feel it's wrong that society thinks that way. I feel it's wrong that so many young girls think that to be beautiful, successful and loved, they have to be thin. That is just morally wrong.
Listen girls out there, don't go starving yourselves 'cause there's just no point". It's not about being skinny, it really isn't. Be happy the way you are."
