My 6 Greatest New England Sports Moments

1. Super Bowl XXXVI- Pats 20, Rams 17. No more need be said- thanks guys!
1A.
Super Bowl XXXVIII- Pats 32, Panthers 29. Another fantastic finish! :)
1Aa.
Super Bowl XXXIX- Pats 24, Eagles 21. Back-to-back!
1B. 2004 World Series CHAMPS- Boston Red Sox. AT LAST!!!
1Ba.
2004 ALCS- Red Sox defeat Yankees. By request, and almost as satisfying as the WS; Sox rally from an 0-3 deficit to beat the Evil Empire for the '04 AL Pennant! (Here ya go, Mike!)
2.
Game 6, 1975 World Series. One of my earliest memories, with Carlton Fisk's 12th inning homer to win it (never mind about Game 7 ;)
3. Celtics 124, Pacers 121, 5/5/91. Despite leaving the game earlier after slamming his cheek into the parquet floor, Larry Bird comes back, finishing with 32 points to lead the C's to series victory.
4. Flutie-to-Phelan Hail Mary vs. Miami, 11/23/84. You don't have to be a BC fan to have appreciated this game-ending, game-winning play.
5.
US Olympic Hockey, 1980. OK, not strictly a New England moment, but there were a lot of New Englanders on the team..."Do you believe in miracles? Yes!"
6. UMass Final Four, 1996. With apologies to the folks in Storrs, but we
did make it first! :)
HONORABLE MENTION
