Neiman's called and I passed the background check. I wasn't really worried. I mean, what have I ever really done? Not much. I drive too damn fast, but I don't think that would keep me from being employed anywhere. Now, I have to have an interview with the Nars coordinator. Who, it turns out, used to be the cosmestics manager at Foley's when I was working there. I've been trying to figure out if we were on good terms when I left. I think so, except she was unhappy I was leaving.

I'm trying not to think about Matt leaving because it makes me sad. I don't know what I'm going to do once he's gone. We've had a lot of fun catching up on all the touristy things there are to do in Dallas. But then again, I should be employed by then and will have something to do to occupy some of my time. I guess I also need to start thinking about about moving back into the condo. I don't think I could bear the thought of someone else living here while I'm in town. If I happen to get a job in some far-flung corner of the country, that would be different.

I need a drink.

I've discovered that sometimes, phone numbers get disconnected.
